we find the light of love and togetherness.
Gathering Candle (Nến Tụ Họp) draws inspiration from the oil lamp—a familiar object tied to childhood memories, especially during power outages, when the entire family would gather around to talk and bond. In those moments, the hand fans, small chairs, and the glow of the oil lamp became the backdrop for grandparents recounting old tales, uncles and aunts sharing stories of prosperous harvests, neighbors joining the fun, and children playing hide-and-seek nearby. That scene of togetherness, though now a cherished memory, was once illuminated solely by the light of the oil lamp, symbolizing unity, community, and mutual support during challenging times.
Today, Gathering Candle carries the mission of recreating that warm, nostalgic setting—bringing people closer together, sharing stories, and creating beautiful new memories to treasure.
Gathering Candle is honored to be among the 25 ideas selected for exhibition at the 93 Đinh Tiên Hoàng Exhibition House, as part of the Hanoi Design and Creativity Festival 2024, taking place from November 9 to November 17.
